SERVING HEART
Serving is embedded in the fabric of who we are. When needed, we don’t hesitate, we don’t question, we move into action. We believe in serving to help others achieve their goals, giving both meaning and joy to our lives and those we serve.
The Orlando Cleaners team, along with other community and church partners, is involved with outfitting participants in The Jobs Partnership Lifeworks program. Each class, we measure the students to capture clothing sizes that will be needed.
A large selection of suit, shirt, tie, belt and shoe donations are gathered together to create a “store” for the men to shop with the one-on-one guidance of our team members and other volunteers from the community.
Once the best outfit is chosen, the students put everything on and the suits are fitted for them. Alterations are made as needed to the length and waist of the suit pants as well as the suit coat sleeves to ensure a professional appearance. You would never know the suit wasn’t made just for them!
The donations have been handled a lot during the process so, as a last step before delivering them, each piece is cleaned and pressed. We consider this a critical part of giving back to the community and perform all services at no charge
